Hydrostatic test is a task of inspection point in the ITP, the hydrotest procedure should get approval code and all welding activities had been done inspection by all parties, NDT report to meet project requirement. Skid fabrication - inspection documents for QC

Following the topic, we would like to share you the quality document for small skid. Inspection check list Procedures and inspection should prepare and included in your hand, NDE procedure, NDE map, welding map and NDE plan also prepared. You should make a content of procedures for control, type of inspection report, below is sample list of procedure. A golden weld

Welder assigned for this joint is a very important criteria. He have to be highly skilled as the NDT requirements for this joint is normally higher than that of other joints. My experience, the golden joints are subjected to RT, UT, MPI & hardness test. It depends on the standard being followed and the client requirements. Golden weld joint   is that joint in which the new piping is connected to the existing piping. Hence this joint cannot be hydrostatically tested. So it has to be ensured that it should be defect free as per the standard (eg: ASME B31.3 Section 345.2.3).
